ASAP Refrigerator Deep Clean + Sanitize — Cleaning Products Included Need someone to thoroughly deep clean and sanitize a refrigerator ASAP. Cleaning products/supplies are included and available for use. PLEASE READ: There is not a large amount of food inside, so this is not mainly a food/trash removal job. The primary task is thoroughly cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing the refrigerator. The refrigerator has been off and currently has a strong odor and some maggots, so please be comfortable handling that. The electricity/lights are currently off, so please bring a portable/work light. A portable fan is also recommended for comfort. Main priority: getting the refrigerator thoroughly cleaned, disinfected, sanitized, and odor-free.

What does a refrigerator cleaning service include?
Your refrigerator cleaning service will depend on what parts of your refrigerator need cleaning and if it includes a freezer and/or ice dispenser. Here’s what you can expect from the most common refrigerator cleaning services:
Refrigerator and freezer cleaning
Refrigerator and freezer cleaning starts by removing all the cold items and putting them in cooler bags to stay safe and cold. Next, your cleaner will unplug the refrigerator. If the freezer (or fridge) has built-up ice, they’ll leave it for up to 1-2 hours so it can defrost, collecting the water using old towels and buckets. They may also carefully scrape away at big chunks of ice or use a blow dryer to speed up the process. Your refrigerator cleaner will then wipe down all the surfaces of your refrigerator and freezer with soapy water and wash the shelves in the sink. They’ll clean inside and out, paying special attention to areas like seals (prone to mold) and handles. Finally, they’ll dry all surfaces with a towel before putting it all back together, switching your appliance on, and putting back all your cold food and drinks.
Water and ice dispenser cleaning
To clean your refrigerator’s water and ice dispenser, your cleaner will first ensure the water valve is shut off or disconnected before removing the ice bin and tipping out any ice (including built-up ice). They’ll sit white vinegar in the ice maker and dispenser lines for around 10 minutes to break down any lime before rinsing with clean water. Next, they’ll clean the nozzles with a damp cloth and vinegar, getting into any grooves to remove dirt. Finally, they’ll wash the ice bin with soapy water then dry with a clean towel before putting everything back together, including the water valve.
Office fridge cleaning
This one gets a special mention because office fridge cleaning is a tricky area. Who is responsible for cleaning the office fridge, after all? Not you. Not them. It makes sense to hire someone to do this every couple of weeks so you can avoid the awkwardness (and that nasty smell). Your cleaner will remove any old food and bin it before wiping down all the surfaces to ensure your office fridge is clean, fresh, and sparkly.
