Local services marketplace Airtasker has released its annual consumer trends report, analysing data from millions of tasks and unveiling how times of constant change have impacted UK’s to-do list.
This year, Brits continued seeking skilled experts on the platform to help them complete various home DIY projects, with general handyperson categories being the most in-demand and garnering over 40,000 tasks posted.
Plenty needed a hand with either vacating their old home, moving office spaces, or assembling new furniture, as removalist and furniture assembly categories also saw a spike this 2022.
Also playing starring roles in Airtasker’s top categories in the UK are residential cleaning (11,700 posted tasks) and gardening (9,600), as Brits remain dedicated to keeping their households in tip-top shape. Wrapping up the list for 2022 are mechanic jobs, painting services, water plumbing, electrical wiring, and household equipment repair and installations.
It’s been another amazing and productive year for Customers getting things done and Taskers making money doing what they enjoy. There seem to be no signs of slowing down in the marketplace, so onto the next!
