Hi guys, I hope you’re doing well. I own a Fiat Punto Grande 1.2L (2007), and yesterday I experienced an issue with the starter motor. When I tried to start the car, it made a noise that almost sounded like a crash and the engine wouldn’t turn over. At first, I suspected a battery issue, but the car only starts when pushed, which makes me believe the problem is with the starter motor. And this morning, I noticed an oil leak between the middle of the car and the passenger side. I’m not sure if it’s from the oil filter or another component. I understand you would need to inspect it for an accurate diagnosis, but I’d really appreciate a general idea of the average repair cost for both issues, if possible please. Could you kindly provide me with a quote for repairing or replacing the starter motor and an estimate for fixing the oil leak, please? Thanks in advance for your help. The car just stopped working yesterday. The guy that had it before me was messing with the wiring and when I'm driving all the lights on the dashboard come on and the immobilizer lights will start flashing. Also when this happens everytime I change gear the car loses power for a couple of seconds then kicks in again.
