What do Clothesline Installation & Repair services include?

Clothesline Installation and repair services include installing common clotheslines, such as the rotary clothesline and wall-mounted clothesline. For rotary clotheslines, this includes digging a hole in your outdoor space to anchor it, positioning the clothesline and filling the gap with concrete. After the rotary clothesline is installed and the concrete has dried, the clothesline head is put in place.

As for the wall-mounted type, this includes positioning and bolting the wall brackets onto an exterior wall and threading the clothesline wires. Clothesline repairs include replacing damaged or missing clotheslines and replacing damaged brackets or clothesline heads. Note that you must supply the clothesline and a bag of concrete, gravel, digging tools and water when having a rotary clothesline installed.

Installing Rotary Clothesline

A handyman can install a new rotary clothesline for you in your backyard. Decide on the best spot to place this, as they will have to dig a hole at which the rotary clothesline’s pole will be anchored. At the spot you have chosen, the fixer will dig the hole then put the clothesline’s pole in place, ensuring that it is perfectly straight using spirit levels.

The handyman will then fill the void with a mix of concrete, a bit of gravel and some water.  After the concrete has set, they complete the installation by attaching the clothesline head and extending it.

Installing Wall-Mounted Clothesline

As for the wall-mounted type, a handyman will first bolt on the mounting brackets on an external wall of your choice. While taskers will usually have all the tools and safety equipment, refer to the instructions and requirements of your wall-mounted clothesline. You can advise a handyman of what tools they need for the job.

You aren’t obligated to do so, but you can lend tools or safety equipment. After the wall mounts are bolted on, they will proceed to place the front bar. They will complete the installation by stringing the wire or rope through the front bar.

Clothesline Repair

A handyman can also perform simple repairs to either type of clothesline, whether it’s a rotary or wall-mounted type. They can replace the clothesline wire or rope, fix damaged wall-mounted brackets or transfer a rotary clothesline to a new spot if its current anchor has weakened and caused it to become misaligned.
