It seems we have a leak of some kind from our upstairs bathroom that’s causing a discolouration to the butlers pantry ceiling. It may be the bath (as it’s 20 years old) but not sure. Is there any way to checking for leaks in the bath and what would be causing the leak? If the plaster needs cutting can you also arrange patch/paint?

I have a flat metal roof in my garage with a skylight. However, the old polycarbonate sheet is broken. I have applied a quick fix but it won't last long, so I need a total fix. The attached images show the quick fix. An aircon outdoor unit sits above but this is not a fixed installed. So the aircon unit needs to be moved aside when fixing it, there is no need to move it back.
