Leaking Tasks Off Platform
Whether it's during the assigning stage, or after you've accepted an offer, taking tasks off the Airtasker platform is not supported. Every Tasker should have a fair go when it comes to submitting an offer, and preventing another Tasker's ability to do that creates an unfair environment. In addition, taking tasks off the platform means you lose the ability to:
- Review the work the Tasker provides you before releasing payment
- Receive Customer Support by Airtasker
- Access to Airtasker's secure payment system
- Protection by our Terms & Conditions, including access to insurance
In addition, Taking a task off the platform means a cancellation occurs. Repeatedly cancelling tasks may result in you gaining a poor star rating and profile reviews impacting your ability to get tasks done in the future, or even result in your account being suspended or banned.
4. Pricing and payments
Everybody deserves to be in a safe and rewarding environment. So it's important to understand how pricing and payments work.
- No partial payments Any offers made on your task should be for the full scope of the task. When you accept an offer, that is the final amount that you're obligated to pay (in addition to the Connection Fee). Tasks offering partial payment, including sales and commission-based tasks, are not permitted and will be moderated and/or removed.
- Airtasker Payment Account Cash payments are not supported on the Airtasker platform. When an offer is accepted you will need to add funds to the task which are securely held in escrow with your Airtasker Pay account until the task is completed. Airtasker Pay ensures your funds are held safely until the task is finalised.
- Accurate banking details To provide seamless transaction of funds to your Tasker, please ensure your credit or debit cards details are valid and up to date in your Payment Settings.
- Payment with VISA or Mastercard All tasks must be remunerated via credit or debit Mastercard, VISA or American Express card, AfterPay or Airtasker Credits. Cash or cash equivalent payments are not supported.
- Cancellation Policy: As set out in our terms and conditions, if you cancel a task after you have assigned it, the full value of your task will be returned to you and the Connection Fee will be retained.
4. Pricing, fees and payments
We understand that everybody wants a safe and rewarding environment. So it's important to understand how pricing and payments work on Airtasker.
- Offer prices When a Tasker makes you an offer, it is for the total amount for that task. Offers are not hourly, unit or quote based. Partial quotes mentioning further negotiation of prices off the platform are also not permitted.
- Airtasker Payment Account For safety reasons, cash payments are not supported on the Airtasker platform. Instead, to ensure that Taskers are paid in full the Airtasker Payment Account securely holds the task funds received from you until you mark the task as complete. -
5. Accountability for task outcomes
When you accept a Tasker's offer on your task, you and the Tasker remain accountable for your behaviour on the Airtasker platform and the outcome of the task.
- Poor platform experiences: We encourage good behaviour for all users of our platform. Both Taskers and Customers are able to provide reviews on each other - including in respect of cancelled tasks.
- Suspensions: Repeatedly cancelling tasks and other poor behaviour that breaches these Guidelines may result in your account being suspended. Account suspensions can range from a temporary suspension to permanently cancelling your account.
6. Account Eligibility
We know you're super keen to set up an account and start checking off your to-do list, but we need you to make sure all members of the Airtasker community are 18 years or older. This is a legal requirement as people under the age of 18 are not able to enter a legal contract with Airtasker. Airtasker reserves the right to request proof of age.
7. Account administration
Now that you understand a little more about Airtasker, we have some important information regarding accounts.
- No account transfers Your account is your responsibility and you must maintain control of it. It must not be transferred to another person as your account and reviews reflect you and your actions.
- No duplicate accounts Members may only have one account on the platform. As your account reflects your reputation on the marketplace and represents your skills and abilities, any duplicate accounts attempting to disguise a member's history will be removed immediately. This means that all content posted by additional or duplicate accounts will be removed and any associated task contracts will be cancelled.
- Cooperating with other members for the Airtasker Community and Airtasker Staff Where members of the Airtasker Community or Airtasker Staff reach out to request information, both Customers and Taskers are required to promptly respond within a reasonable timeframe.
