A chef or experienced grill cook would cook/warm, on a wood fired grill, a small menu of relatively simple party food (German sausage hot dogs, chicken skewers, warm Porchetta rolls, etc) at a private residence for an outdoor party of around 40 people. The grill, cooking tools, serving platters and food products (meats, rolls, sauces, etc) will be provided and all pre-prepared ready for the chef to easily access and utilise at a small mobile cooking station. Party attendees will come up to the chef and grab their own hot dog etc, and/or the chef can arrange food on a tray where others can walk around and serve to guests. The chef needs to be ready to go at the grill from noon and through to 6pm. No post cooking clean-up of the grill area is required by the chef. An image of the wood fired grill (which will be pre-lit prior to your arrival) is attached.

Wedding of 160 guests, in an open paddock on private property in Marong, Victoria. October 4th 2025. Open Fire / Charcoal Cooking Meat & Vegetables Spit cooking experience - Lamb, Pig & Chicken Looking for an experienced even chef (or three) for a 160 person wedding. We are looking to have 3- 4 spits - lamb, pig & chicken - so experience cooking meat on a spit is essential. Vegetables cooked on open fire / BBQ also needed. Cooking / carving will be done on site, in the open (but covered) in front of guests. There will be cold sides prepared by an outside catering company & there will be some bar/wait staff, although, guests will serve themselves, with no set eating time. All meat, vegetables, spit & cooking equipment & necessary supplies will be provided. $65 an hour, negotiable. Willing to discuss compensation for travel.
