What does an Airbnb cleaning service include?
Every Airbnb accommodation is unique, whether it’s an extra room, a whole house, or even a caravan. So the services you’ll need will depend on the inclusions provided to your guests. In general, here’s what you can expect from your Airbnb cleaner:
Bathroom cleaning
Your cleaner will clean the toilet(s), wipe down the sink areas, and clean the shower(s). They’ll replace any toiletries and toilet paper provided and collect any dirty towels and bathmats for washing.
Kitchen cleaning
If your Airbnb accommodation includes a kitchen or kitchenette, your cleaner will sort this area out, too. They’ll stack or unpack the dishwasher, wipe down the benchtops, check all the cupboards and drawers to make sure everything is where it should be, and collect used tea towels to be washed. Your cleaner will fill the hand soap dispenser, if needed, and top up the dishwashing detergent and tablets.
Floor cleaning
Your Airbnb cleaner will vacuum and sweep all floors (including covered patio areas) before mopping hard floors. If there are any obvious carpet stains, they may spot clean them or help organise a carpet cleaner.
Lounge & bedroom cleaning
They’ll ensure all lounge room furniture and accessories are arranged perfectly, including your guest welcome pack and reading materials. Your cleaner will also remove used sheets and linens from the bedrooms, ready for washing.
Fresh linen
Your Airbnb cleaner will replace all used linen with fresh linen, including bath towels, bath mats, hand towels, face washers, tea towels, sheets, and pillowcases.
Airbnb management & handover
Some Airbnb cleaning services also include Airbnb management. This can involve everything from booking in new clients and communicating through the app (just like a holiday rental property manager) to handing over the keys and managing any enquiries. Most cleaning supplies are provided, but you may need to have some on hand in case any of our have run out. The place doesn't have a full kitchen, only a microwave, a toaster, a sink and a mini-fridge. It doesn't have a full bathroom, only an ensuite. The tenants are required to take off the bed sheets and put into the baskets provided. We have a regular cleaner but she is not available next` week. The total duration of the work is approx 1-1.5 hours, but I'm allowing for 2 hours in the budget. If you are interested, we also need the same place cleaned between 11am 18 Feb and 3pm 21 Feb. The tasks are: - Pick up new linen from the adjacent house - Clean the kitchenette and the ensuite - Dust all surfaces - Make a bed with new linen. Put the used linen in the basket where the new linen was. - Vacuum and mop the floors - Bring the used linen in the adjacent house.
