We're off to Disneyland and we are dressing up! My daughters Cinderella dress is a bodice and tulle and needs taking in at the bust. It's not a wedding dress bodice. It's a nice dress we bought off eBay with a soft bodice. The most important thing is that I want my daughter to feel like a princess and it's a nice dress that she can wear again. She's 14. It looks like it has sleeves in the picture but thats just a long scarf. Maybe we can talk about stitching it in place. The length is fine. My husbands costume arrived and the jacket needs to be taken in and the pants need to be narrowed. Maybe the shirt too but not essential. It is a costume from Cosplay, not a formal suit. I also have 4 cheap retro dresses (example below) that need to be slightly shorter. There's no tulle, no pleats, no lining, just thin polyester. Again, these are just costumes. I'd like them to look good but it's not a formal dress and if I had a sewing machine is would be a quick job. If the cost is too much for these I really don't need to do it.
