Replace zipper on jacket

Dress 1: a long summer dress that needs taking in quite a bit! The upper part is lined, it has a zipper all the way down the back and a pocket I want to keep! Should be a fairly straightforward job for someone with a sewing machine and experience! Dress 2: a burgundy kameez sort of thing with beautiful emboridered details. I'd like to cut off the bottom half and just hem it neatly to make it shirt. Its fully lined and the top layer is a potentially annoying sheer fabric, but beside that a very easy job! - Due date: Flexible
