There is a tear in the fabric of my lounge settee. You need to remove a hidden part of the fabric from the settee and see it over the tear.

Require two maxi skirts to be altered as they are too long on me. One is the Maria Maxi skirt from KOOKAÏ The other is the Loula lace skirt from Dissh. Will need someone whos experienced with sewing lace. Based in Prahran - so ideally someone nearby

I have six curtains that need to be hemmed. Two are sheer curtains and the other 4 are linen (similar to a linen sheet - no lining). I could pin them at the right height and bring them to you in Torquay or Geelong (or Melbourne if we can't find someone closer). Or you can come and work at our house in Torquay? Not sure what a reasonable budget is - I am open to spending more if need be once I have a better idea of the time / complexity of the task.

Hemming of a school uniform dress

I've got a fleece costume and need a zipper sewn in, would you also be able to provide a white zipper for it?

I would like an experienced seamstress/sewist to help me alter, repair and sew some garments, and help me learn more about dressmaking. Starting with a 3 hour session, with the potential for ongoing work. Ideally, you will: - be friendly and patient and a clear teacher with actionable advice - be able to bring your own sewing machine. I have one, but its very old, and I'd prefer if we could work simultaneously.* - have experience making dance costumes and gowns - understand fabrics and have experience sewing with challenging materials - be able to give advice on choosing fabrics - understand how to adjust and create garments for mid-size, curvy, petite women. - be happy to work in a house with a cat. The budget I am setting includes $50 per hour for 3 hours, plus $25 for bringing a sewing machine and any basic equipment. If you are not able to bring these tools, please reflect that in your offer. *Note: I have needles, thread, scissors, bobbins, measuring tape, some patterns and practice fabrics and some other basics, but no chalk. If you want to bring anything along that would help it would be much appreciated!

Need a pair of pants hemmed last minute!! Wearing tomorrow to lunch and realised these are about 2 inches too long. Pants are a stretchy lace fabric (see attached) Main: 95% Micro Polyester, 5% Elastane. Will need to be picked up in st Kilda east or I can drop off somewhere if not far from here :)
