This is a brand new cooktop, the house was complete around 6/7 months ago but we got the keys recently. Everything else in the house works including the oven and gas hws but this cooktop does not. Tried igniting the regular way but does not work. So seems like a connection issue, need a gas fitter/plumber/electrician to come and inspect and help us figure out to turn this on.
