Cut plaster Remove ceiling insulation as needed (blow in type) Cut out ceiling joists as needed Trim opening with 70x35 MGP or as needed (timber not purchased yet) Install ladder, tune. Plaster to L bead or similar as needed to finish opening smoothly. (plaster and L bead not purchased yet)

I need the hinge repaired on attic ladder it looks like bolts have come out. Had trouble finding a suitable time.

This job really requires a builder/carpenter who really knows what they’re doing. My attic ladder recent separated from the piece of wood that held it securely in the ceiling. An unskilled handyman made a real mess of a repair and whilst it now works it looks really bad. Unfortunately this job is considered too small for most tradespeople and companies that make and sell attic ladders want to sell me a new ladder as well. So I’m hoping this post might help me find someone with the right skills who is willing to do a smallish job. I cante seem to select the date I need it done by but late Jan would be great.
