This seems like a bit of a long shot, but let's see if anyone here is able to solve the problem... I've built a simple IoT system with a Raspberry Pi, an iPad Retina screen, a soundcard + LM386, and a WS2812B independently addressible RGB LED strip. First the good news: it works! All of the components in this system function. It has three major problems though: - Each of the four major components must run off its own 5v power supply, because otherwise the voltage drops and the RPi won't boot. - The LM386 puts ground noise out to the speaker. - Most of the internal cabling is much too long, and takes up too much space making the back plate difficult to install. I'm of the belief that all three problems can be solved by someone competent reterminating most of the cabling (maybe with filter cap over audio amp), and replacing the power supplies with one more powerful one. I'm a software engineer, not an electronics engineer; I'm just happy I even got the thing working, If you have experience troubleshooting low voltage power circuits please make an offer. I need an electronics engineer who can have a look at it and give me a quote for fixing those three problems. Time and location flexible. Thanks!
