What do bamboo flooring services include?

Bamboo flooring services cover the basics such as installation, refinishing, repair and maintenance. Whether you’re building your first home or just designing your bedroom, it’s best to hire a professional to handle all your flooring needs. Here’s what to expect when booking bamboo flooring near you:

Bamboo flooring installation

The installation area must be carefully prepared before starting any bamboo flooring installation job. It is important to ensure that your subfloor is level, clean, and completely dry. If you need concrete subfloors or if your task requires touching the heating or electrical system, consider booking a general contractor to help you out. Also, remember that bamboo, like any natural product, will need to acclimatise. You can do this by leaving your bamboo flooring for a minimum of 48 hours.

Regardless if you’ll be using secret-nailing, gluing, or using a uniclic system, be sure to confirm everything in detail before installation to ensure the job is done specifically to your liking. Discuss waterproofing, installation time frame, design, and sourcing materials. Once all the prep work is done, your Tasker will be all set to start laying out your floor. All you need to do is wait, and before you know it, you’ll be enjoying your new floors!

Once the installation is complete, and you find yourself with excess bamboo materials, no need to fret. There are a ton of other things that bamboo can be used for, thanks to its natural durability and flexibility. You may want to ask your Tasker about other uses of bamboo that you can use all over your home, including installing bamboo fences and more.

Bamboo floor refinishing

If you’re wondering if you can refinish your bamboo floors, the quick answer is yes. Although bamboo isn’t a tree but grass, it’s pretty similar to hardwood flooring. This means the process of refinishing them should be no different.

But unlike wood flooring, bamboo scratches easily. It’s cheaper to pay for bamboo floor scratch repair and refinishing than it is to replace them. For regular wear and tear, Taskers can sand down your floors and refinish with a wood floor lacquer. By doing this, they can reseal your floors and protect them from further damage. Plus, it makes your bamboo flooring look good as new!

Bamboo floor repair and maintenance

Let’s face it. Since you use your floors daily, it is bound to have some wear and tear over time. There’s always going to be a few scratches here and there, no matter how careful you are. Over time, dirt and dust can build up. It’s important to know proper bamboo floor care to preserve its natural beauty and keep them looking elegant. Cleaning your floors regularly ensures dust particles don’t build up and create even more scratches.

For more technical maintenance and repair jobs, you can always let a Tasker take care of it. They can do a host of bamboo floor repair tasks such as scratch repairs, sanding, replacement of chipped or broken floorboards and the like. Don’t hesitate to ask your Tasker for valuable maintenance tips to ensure your flooring lasts.

We had to go through the floor to fix a leaky pipe. I had bamboo flooring put down maybe 10 years ago. I need board and to get it matched to current flooring. Open to having it sanded and repolished if this help ensure it matches and does not look weird. The whole floor area is about 6.5 m by 5 m and the missing board area is about 40x40 m although to avoid the square look may need to lay long board so get staggered lines. - Due date: Flexible
