I’m in the process of restoring a ‘74 Toyota Stout. It’s full of rust and hasn’t run for a couple of years but structurally looks ok. Bolt thread from a BMW C600 engine block. 2 bolts are maintaining the bike side stand structure. Corrosion has unplugged one bolt and its thread, while the other bolt is stuck in its thread without the head to remove it. At the moment I use this bike without the side stand which I have removed. BMW has reviewed this issue and confirmed they could fix it by recreating a thread. Bought the original bolt from BMW. I need a skilled car/bike mechanic experiences in similar task to : 1. recreate the thread 2. remove the one stuck 3. re mount the side stand (optional)
