2008 Subaru Forester rego CJB76W. My aircon gas has leaked out. Believe it's the Orings on the compressor suction or discharge line. There's a fair bit of refrigerant oil residue after it let go. I have a OEM compressor to be installed as well. The old one was becoming noisy so I thought I'd get a new one. Need compressor replacement (part supplied), oring replacement, leak test, vacuum and regas. Need a new belt as the OEM ones are stretch fit.
Came perfectly on time. Knowledgeable and did everything that was requested. Was really friendly and explained everything he did. Thank you.

Car inspection & potential repair - Holden Captiva 7 - Engine problem

2013 Holden Captiva 7 (Auto, petrol). I brought my car to a local mechanic after hearing a weird "clapping" sound coming from the front of the car/engine. He told me the engine is completely wasted (or about to at least), something with the pistons firing/breaking (unsure exactly, my knowledge is limited). He said there's no point in trying to repair or replace the engine for this car. And that I shouldn't drive it anymore as it can break any minute, leave a huge oil spill and even be dangerous with the pistons shooting out (at the passenger). I'm hoping to get a second opinion/inspection on whether this is correct. If repairing or replacing the engine I'm also open to exploring that as I do love the car and it actually only has 120K km. Let me know if you need any additional info. Unsure about what the budget needs to be, and of course, if we move to repair I understand it will be more expansive than just getting an inspection.

Mobile mechanic needed or within 10minutrs of Westleigh/Hornsby area. Toyota Camry twothiusand and se7en model. Battery terminals were cleaned and car jump started, drove for an hour and it turned off as soon as idling ( idle feels low), think maybe alternator needs replacing. Car is due for service too. Going to sell car, want log books stamped, and simple service and car back up and running. Come to Westleigh, if you tell me parts to buy I can buy them or you can provide. Please comment with parts costs and quite for labour costs. Located QS Westleigh.
