What does a car service include?
As a general rule, your car will likely need to be serviced every 6-12 months, depending on the manufacturer’s recommendations. The exact inclusions of your car service and mobile car service will vary depending on how much work is needed on your car. Some of the popular car services you can book on Airtasker include:
Oil and oil filter change
An oil and oil filter change will help your car run smoothly and increase fuel efficiency. It’s one of the most important parts of a service and should be included in both minor and major services. Your mechanic will find the oil drain plug, loosen and unscrew it, and carefully allow the old oil to drain into a pan. Then they’ll replace and tighten the plug before removing and replacing the filter. Finally, they’ll fill up with fresh oil up to the “full” mark on the dipstick.
Car minor service
A minor service is also known as an interim or basic service. It focuses on changing and topping up fluids and inspecting a number of components for wear and tear. A minor service includes an oil and filter change; an under-body and under-bonnet inspection; a top-up of all key fluids in the engine, including washer fluid, brake fluid, antifreeze, and steering fluid; and a check of up to 35 key components, such as lights, tyres, and brakes. Car major service
A major service includes all the basic services described above, but will also include an inspection of an additional 15-30 car components to ensure that your vehicle is in the best condition possible. These components can include wheel bearings, shock absorbers, and the air conditioning system. Any parts that need extra work or replacement, such as car batteries or windscreens, will be billed as extra.

I want to replace the head unit and speakers in my 1999 Hi-Ace. I plan on buying the unit and speakers myself as well as any adapters or wiring, so am after just the labour of installation and potentially any advice on what to buy. Looking at getting this done whenever possible and am pretty flexible on time. Need mechanic to test/fix turbo actuator on 2015 Mercedes Benz sprinter 319 CDI V6 3 litre diesel . I have below fault code. I'm suspecting faulty actuator or boost solenoid? I found a video on YouTube how to test the actuator with a test light I can send to you. Have been stuffed around already by one mechanic who misdiagnosed and cost me $$ in parts and labour for nothing. Replaced intercooler hoses to no avail. 2015 319 CDI ex-ambulance V6 3 litre 484,000km.
