What does a car service include?
As a general rule, your car will likely need to be serviced every 6-12 months, depending on the manufacturer’s recommendations. The exact inclusions of your car service and mobile car service will vary depending on how much work is needed on your car. Some of the popular car services you can book on Airtasker include:
Oil and oil filter change
An oil and oil filter change will help your car run smoothly and increase fuel efficiency. It’s one of the most important parts of a service and should be included in both minor and major services. Your mechanic will find the oil drain plug, loosen and unscrew it, and carefully allow the old oil to drain into a pan. Then they’ll replace and tighten the plug before removing and replacing the filter. Finally, they’ll fill up with fresh oil up to the “full” mark on the dipstick.
Car minor service
A minor service is also known as an interim or basic service. It focuses on changing and topping up fluids and inspecting a number of components for wear and tear. A minor service includes an oil and filter change; an under-body and under-bonnet inspection; a top-up of all key fluids in the engine, including washer fluid, brake fluid, antifreeze, and steering fluid; and a check of up to 35 key components, such as lights, tyres, and brakes. Most mechanics will also check the manufacturer guidelines and recommend any additional work your car may need.
Car major service
A major service includes all the basic services described above, but will also include an inspection of an additional 15-30 car components to ensure that your vehicle is in the best condition possible. These components can include wheel bearings, shock absorbers, and the air conditioning system. Any parts that need extra work or replacement, such as car batteries or windscreens, will be billed as extra.

2003 Audi A4. VIN: WAUZZZ8E44A028737 EGR solenoid wiring needs to be checked. It's showing 5.2volts instead of 12 so it's not activating. Possibly need to make sure the coil packs are ground properly which I've done but might be loose in the wiring. It's been serviced and new spark plugs etc.

Car was serviced 18mths ago and these were the notes: WORK DONE: SERVICE AND CHECK OVER AT 297375KMS REPLACED OIL AND OIL FILTER STAMPED LOG BOOK REPLACED BOTH HEADLIGHT GLOBES TEST DRIVEN FUTURE WORK: FRONT TYRES DUE TO BE REPLACED LH REAR TYRE DUE OT BE REPLACED RH WHEEL BEARING DUE TO BE REPLACED- COULD POSSIBLY NEED CV SHAFT TO BE REPLACED DUE TO DAMAGE WIPER BLADES NOISY AND MISSING CLIPS- RECOMMEND REPLACING COMPLETE BLADES MISFIRE AT IDLE TIMING BLET HISTORY UNKOWN- DUE EVERY 100,000KMS- RECOMMEND REPLACING IF HISTORY STILL UNKNOWN FAN BELTS DUE TO BE REPLACED- RECOMMEND REPLACING WITH TIMING BELT FUEL FILTER HISTORY UNKNOWN- RECOMMEND REPLACING IF UNKNOWN ALL ROTORS HAVE RUST (SUSPECT CAUSING SOUND) - PADS IN GOOD CONDITION ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON- SCANNED AND CLEARED CODES OXYGEN SENSOR CODE APPEARED- LOOKS IKE SENSOR HAS BEEN REPLACED PREVIOUSLY I know some of that is major. Holden Captiva 2015 wont start

Have a Holden Captiva 2015, about 180,000km. Car was running ok, wanted to replace one of the Glow plugs. Removed the injector fuel lines to get to the glow plug, couldn’t get some bolts out, decided to put back everything. Started the car it ran on idle for few minutes then stalled. Fuel leak on the injectors lines, tightened the lines. But car won’t start. Tried priming with the switch on, but nothing Either air lock in the fuel system or low fuel pressure or could be something else But car was running smoothly before I removed the lines
