If it's your first time getting car audio installed, here's what you can look forward to:
Car Stereo Removal and Inspection
Before anything else, your specialist must first remove and inspect your car's current sound system. They will carefully unscrew and take out the old stereo, disconnect and unplug all wiring and connections, and note down all other details that are specific to your vehicle. This way, they will be able to fit your new stereo in the same way as your previous one.
Fitting and Installation
Once they remove the old stereo, they will now install a new one into your vehicle. This process involves wiring your vehicle's harnesses to the car audio, clipping the mounting kit and stereo together, and matching the antenna cable and ground connection. They will also check if it fits seamlessly with no loose wires and corners.
Stereo Testing
Any stereo installation needs thorough testing to ensure that the new sound system is working correctly. Once your stereo is powered up, your Tasker will turn on the radio, play music, and test the speakers of your vehicle. I would like this installed in my 2012 Outback 3.6R. I believe that it's a little more complicated than a drop in replacement because my car was 'top of the range' with the MacIntosh factory stereo / maps unit. Apparently the complication comes because there is a built in amplifer which needs an on / off signal sent. If you're a car stereo installer (as in, actually know what you're doing!!) and know this issue, then please give me a quote. I need it done 'right' if you know what I mean. My aftermarket car stereo head unit has shifted back in its mounting cage. I need it pulled forward, maybe screwed to the cage. I works but looks wrong.

I have A 2020 Hyundai iload van and I've purchased a kenwood dmx7522dabs and Focal ps165v1 speakers. I already have a shallow Kicker subwoofer and also some sound deadener which I would like installed into the doors where possible. I will require a 4 channel amplifier which I can purchase or I'm happy for the installer to offer recommendations on.
