Qualified carpenter or handy person with own tools and materials needed ASAP. Fix rotten base timber and rectify any required studs in areas impacted by water leakage in shower area. Fit and/or adjust timber studs in relevant areas to enable fitting 1200mm wall hang vanity. Reason: wall hang vanity will require appropriately located studs to ensure study and good strength when fitted. Design space in internal wall to accommodate 1200mm shaving cabinet with mirrors. Reason: cabinet will partly go into wall and would need the space correctly designed for installation and hooking to timber. Cement sheet cladding of entire bathroom in readiness for Waterproofing and other jobs. New ceiling plasterboard to be installed. Current one ti be removed for weakness etc. Length around 2340mm, internal and external walls around 1820mm each. Total area under 4m2 and ceiling height is normal, not high ceiling. Bits and pieces as renovation continues. Likely to be used for another 2nd bathroom reno later. The reno work is ongoing and the aim is to complete by end of November or latest 2 weeks into December. Relationship with carpenter will continue on as needed basis for this reno. Hourly rate and hours quote for this job would be ideal. Otherwise, opened to looking at the whole for quote. I have two rooms (around 5 x 4 and 3x4m) and an entrance area with squeaky floorboards (throughout). I am reposting this as I am more serious about completing it now, depending on price. My house is raised and there is some space I believe to go underneath so that you can view the subfloor. There is no carpet and the floor is polished. I want to reduce the squeaking without replacing the floorboards. I heard using screws is the best way to go about doing it. Please let me know your process. If using screws from above, let me know if you will be covering it up with wood filler + varnish etc. The entrance area has no subfloor and no visible nails/screws so the method may need to be different. I also have a very small 30cm section area which needs reinforcement. Am wondering if these are even possible.
