We want to build a facade for a Desky standing desk so it looks like an older style vintage desk. It should be quite a cool creative woodworking/carpentry job but whilst we have a vision for it we don’t have the skills or tools. We are seeking someone with good carpentry/woodworking/joinery/cabinetry/furniture making skills to come out, help us figure it out, then do the woodworking etc to make it happen. We will supply the materials once we’ve figured out together exactly what we need. Imagine it will probably take a visit to our place to plan it, and then maybe a half day or day to do the work. Might need to negotiate a final fee once we’ve figured out what we’re doing.

A piece of the timber needs to be put back to the cupboard. It probably requires planing and glue.

I would like to make some castle wall pieces to add to my kids’ toys. I have 7 pieces of 20cm black butt off cuts marked and ready to cut. We don’t have the tools at home to complete the cutting stage. I have included one image of what I am waiting for and one image of the marked wood.

I currently have a Desky dual standing desk. I am looking for someone to build a custom desk attached to the stand up desk frame so that it will fit in my Victorian-style study (as it currently looks too modern for the space). In terms of the final aesthetic, I’d love for the desk to look something like the attached image, with the legs hidden in the wood panels. In addition to the agreed on fee, I’m happy to pay for materials (though would love an estimate before agreeing), and also to hear any thinking about approach. I’m conscious this is a bit of an unusual ask, which also is asking for a bit of creativity, so definitely happy to discuss further and to hear any alternative ideas and approaches. We have a roughly 2.8m tall by 1.1m wide x 80cm deep built-in cupboard in our study that we need removed so we can lay new floors. Note - images show some stuff inside cabinet - we will get all that our prior to demolition/removal, just leaving it there until we have a date locked in. Care must be taken not to do damage to the fireplace right next to it and as little damage as possible to skirting boards/remaining walls.
