Remove built-in wardrobe, fix up walls behind it.

$225

Excellent experience, Jarron picked up really quickly what needed to be done. I had a disassembled structure that I had labelled badly, with old wood (warped and some parts broken off). Put it back together good as new. Patient, flexible and willing to share his knowledge with myself and teenager. Could not ask for more. Highly recommend.

What do carpenters do?

Whether you’re planning a major renovation on your home or you simply want to make things look a bit nicer, hiring a carpenter or chippy can help you with many different tasks. Carpenters use different types of power tools and hand tools to carry on building and construction work.

Carpentry work is generally broken down into two types: rough and finish. Rough carpentry refers to work that doesn’t have an intricate look, as it’s covered up – often by bricks, tiles, or plaster work. Finish carpentry covers the work that will be on display, so needs to have a nicer finish. Furniture, decking, and window frames all fall into this second category.

Decking

Many Australian homes are blessed with a large backyard and plenty of sunny hours to enjoy that space. A decking specialist can add an outdoor deck or upgrade an existing one that opens up your outdoor space. This is great if you want to entertain guests or eat outside as a family during the sunny months.

Cabinet making

Cabinet makers are one example of finish carpentry, because of the high level of detail that goes into their end products. Unlike structural work, it’s important that a cabinet looks nice, so this type of carpenter is a lot more focused on fine details. Cabinet makers often specialise in other forms of furniture making too.

Refinishing carpentry

While structural carpentry is concerned with jobs on the large end of the scale, trim or refinishing carpentry looks at the small end. A trim carpenter is the way to go if you want someone to fix up your skirting boards, cornicing, or a similar aspect of your home.

Custom made furniture

A house isn’t a home without a few personal touches, and if you’d rather avoid the cookie-cutter Ikea approach to decorating your property, hiring a carpenter to create custom-made furniture can make you stand out. Whether you want chairs, tables, or a shoe rack, there’s someone nearby who can help.

Joinery

Joinery services encompass the craftsmanship of creating and joining wood in workshops, distinct from on-site carpentry. These services range from bespoke projects to crafting timber buildings, emphasizing precision and passion. Joiners play a crucial role in interior woodwork, window and door production, and specialized construction, offering tailored and quality timber solutions.

Install hills folding clothes line (including frame and concrete plates or alternatively this could be screwed to a wooden frame.) Aim is privacy but also to stop clothes flying off balcony in wind, and ideally still let enough air through for drying. Please let me know time and cost for this job (amount in ad is just a placeholder) Images for general idea: yellow = wooden frame, white = panels, blue = clothesline https://www.bunnings.com.au/hills-26m-dune-single-folding-clothesline_p0170053 Example panel: https://www.bunnings.com.au/jack-matrix-1810-x-905mm-off-white-orbit-screen-panel-with-frame_p0361879
