Needing a carpenter to make for us a simple balustrade to stop kids falling off the stairs. Just wanting a simple design, thinking 3 x planks of timber approx 15cm wide spaced apart to create a safe barrier along stairs gradient. See photo for basic idea. Happy to work with carpenter if you have other ideas but just wanted something simple and cost effective. Don’t have any timber so that would need to be purchased- I assume from local hardware store ? Thanks

I have an old creaky staircase. So it obviously needs some shims and wood glue and just general tightening up. I’m removing the old carpet next week and having new carpet laid down. So perfect opportunity. You’ll have both top access (without carpet) and under access
