Resize cooktop hob cutout space with precisely measured wood lengths and width to allow a new hob to fit according to hob specifications. The old hob space is too big for the new cooktop hob. The wood will need to be measured, cut to precise size and secured with screws. This includes the positioning of the new cooktop hob brackets that will also need to be measured and positioned correctly and screwed into position. Once the hob cutout space is correctly retrofitted, the electrician can then install the hob. It is a laminate benchtop. No cutting of the benchtop required. The cutout is 55mm too big. Just need to add wood pieces around the opening so the new hob fits. The new hob circumference just covers the original cutout.
