Hi, Looking for someone with experience in restraining pine furniture. I have a pine table and six chairs that have been sanded back to bare timber. Tried a few different colour stains but can’t seem to get a colour that my wife is happy with so need some guidance with colour selection. I have refinished some pieces of vic ash furniture using a Matt clear finish. Would be good to match this or alternatively something quite different. I am lead to believe pine is difficult to stain properly as can be subject to blotching which is why experience with this type of wood mandatory. Sorry about pics but have other furniture stacked on table too heavy for me to move. I’m located in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
