New fridge is slightly too large to open properly in cabinet space as door opens proud (not flush) and about 3cm too deep. Currently think removing door and hinges, cutting door to cover above fridge cabinet space and adding deeper new melamine base is a good solution but very open to suggestions.

Hello, I live in a 70s 2-story brick townhouse and have started renovating the downstair living/kitchen area (30sqm). I am looking for a qualified builder with experience in older properties to provide assistance with some (a lot of) problems discovered, as this is no longer "let's just replace the floors and cabinets" type of project. Since the demo has been completed (the whole place has been stripped including all flooring and some damaged plaster), so far we have discovered: -a lot of water damage/ old mould to a wall and the beam of a staircase (timber at the bottom is flaky and soft) -the outside walls have holes in them that have let many rodents in over the past 50 years and have zero insulation -the plaster on the ceiling is sagging (seams incorrectly positioned) I need someone to come have a look at the damage and provide advice/quote on how to best fix this.
