I ripped up old carpet and found beautiful hardwood floorboards underneath. I’m wary of damaging the floor when removing the old carpet edge tack strips (approx 22m in total around the edge of the room) plus one transition strip (2m) so seeking some help to gently remove them without marking the floor. I’m aware there will be small holes once the strips are removed - will consider options once I’ve had a look after their removal. The plan is as best as possible use the carpets in the wardrobes to match as best as possible and then put something similar in its place in the wardrobes. We need this done as close as possible, we understand it won’t be an exact match.
