Your specialist may use a high enough stepladder and a damp rag to clean the fan and all its external parts as well. Â
They may also use a can of compressed air to get dust and dirt off the ceiling fan's motor housing and other unreachable parts. Should your ceiling fan have additional features like a built-in lamp, your specialist can clean this too. Some specialists may offer to change the bulb if necessary.Â
Cleaning the mouldings
Before using a cleaning solution, your specialist can dust the mouldings with a broom or vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment. Then concoct a special all-purpose cleaning solution made from ammonia or bleach. Next, a spray bottle is used to apply it on each of the mouldings, allowed to stand for a couple of minutes then sprayed with water. They may use a vacuum with a long attachment or an extendable broom for spiderwebs and cobwebs, taking care that these don't fall on your furniture after removal. Removing stubborn stainsÂ
Nicotine and water stains are the most common stains on ceilings. Not to worry - your specialist can remove water stains and nicotine stains with a bleach or vinegar solution in a spray bottle. They spray the solution directly on the stain then wipe off with a sponge. The process is repeated until they're gone.Â

I was thinking that you only cleaned ceilings, but you're asking for other info as well. This is what I already posted to house cleaning companies this morning - Our granny flat is 7x8 mt. Our main areas of need are: 1) bathroom - needs focussed attention, however, the shower recess has no screen, only a curtain. 2) floor tiles for kitchen/living/entry. Entry is quite dirty & kitchen skirting needs some attention. We have no dining room & our bedroom floor is waiting for carpet. 3) ceiling and cornices. Our bedroom & bathroom need focussed attention. The kitchen/living cornices also, but to a lesser degree. We are both on a Disability Pension but really need your help asap for a house inspection. The house is empty with wooden floors and will require a **full and extensive deep clean** Note: The house has had a serious cockroach problem caused by previous tenants. Pest treatment has been done however walls & all cupboards have extensive pest leavings. Wall & Ceiling washing - All walls and ceilings need to be washed from their current very dirty state (pest not mould) to a high standard ready for painting. Walls to be washed include 4 bedrooms, hallway, kitchen, living area, laundry & small office. Kitchen will need to be thoroughly cleaned throughout: - All cabinetry which has some extensive pest leavings - Sink and all benchtops need thorough clean - Inside and outside of large oven require extensive cleaning. Throughout house will require: - Cleaning skirting - All windows internally - Built in wardrobe and cupboard needs to be cleaned thoroughly (pest leavings) - Mopping - Cleaning light fixtures (pest leavings) Bathrooms will require: - Cleaning mould and soap scum from walls and tiles - Cleaning the toilet and sink including mould removal and mirror clean. Basically the entire house needs to be cleaned from top to bottom. The standard is high especially the walls & ceiling as they need to be ready for painting. Only experienced cleaners to apply please. If you have great reviews & and evidence of success in similar jobs, I am happy to arrange a time for a full inspection and quote.
