Ceiling light and fan to be fixed

We are about to pull trigger and buy three DC ceiling fans, which have built-in lights and remote. Our roof has wooden frame. We need someone to install them, I'm guessing they go over the existing light fittings and we would then use the remote going forward. If possible, and please quote the extra difference for this, could the existing light switch face plates be swapped out for ones that will let us control the fan and light on/off (the faceplates would need two switches obviously). This would be convenient, as sometimes when you walk in a room just just want to hit the light switch and not mess about locating the remote. This is just a nice to have, if even possible.
