What do chain link fencing services include?
Chain link fencing services include all the required tasks or activities to do a professional chain link fence installation on your property. This service can consist of site preparation, taking the appropriate measurements, marking the corners and sectional posts, digging holes for the posts and installing them. Your hired chain link fence installer can also install the rails, the gate and attach the galvanised wire netting or wire mesh, install tension bands, then stretch the wire mesh to fit.
Preparing the site & taking measurements
It's best to have all the necessary permits from your local council before starting the installation. Some Taskers can obtain these permits upon request. The site must be clear of any obstructions or debris, so you may want to hire a separate service to clear the area. After clearing, your chain link fence installer takes all the necessary measurements.Â
They can mark all the spots where they'll place the corner and inner posts on your property. Your Tasker can ensure that the measurements are within the confines of your property and comply with your state's regulations and safety standards on galvanised chain link fencing. Â
Procuring and preparing materials
If you don't have the materials for your chain link fence ready, some Taskers can get them upon request. They can get sufficient materials to build and install a right-sized chain link fence for your property's measurements. They can turn over any excess materials after the installation.
Installing the posts
Your Tasker proceeds to dig holes on the spots marked for each post. They can place the gate posts, corner and inner posts, spacing them evenly and checking that their holes are deep enough and uniform in depth. To ensure that the posts stay level and remain in place, your Tasker can pour concrete into the holes, then allow this to dry for 24 to 48 hours.Â
Installing the tension bands, rails and mesh
After the concrete dries, your Tasker places tension bands on each post. They can install the appropriate number of tension bands on each post and make sure they're spaced evenly and have the proper ground clearance.Â
Your chain link fence installer then places the appropriate top cap on each post, then threads and attaches the top and bottom rails. If necessary, your Tasker can measure and cut top rails to the exact length. Once the rails are on, your Tasker can install the wire mesh. They can cut the right amount of mesh, thread it through each tension band, stretch the mesh and secure it to each rail.
Installing the gate
Your Tasker can punch holes through the gate posts, then install the gate hinges and latches. They can install a single or double-gate if needed and attach caps to each of the gate posts. Now that your fence is complete, you can make the space more functional - why not hire someone to add storage or improve the landscaping?
