Swivel arm chair from 1960s has broken at the swivel point. The impacted parts are metal. Happy to pay for materials separately if required. Price and date is neg. See photos. Description of work: The metal pole that is the swivel stem has broken away from the connecting base plate on the underside of the chair. The stem then sits into a pipe that is the main stand of the leg structure. The pole will need to be removed from the leg section (it is jammed in there). The base plate will need to be removed from the base of the chair (it is also covered by some hessian material that is stapled around the edges.) The two pieces will need to be welded back together. A new base plate may need be to be fabricated and/or to consider ways to strengthen the join of the stem and base plate. Reassemble the chair pieces. Prefer to maintain original materials if possible. Happy to discus options. I can deliver the chair to you if you are in Huon valley or Hobart regions.
