we have a large floating shelf installed in the laundry that was raised ONCE to make a but more space for a freezer .. couple of years later we finally got the freezer and we are about 3 cm short of height being lifted to fit the freezer underneath.. we are NDIS clients and on a DSP and under our goals of handymen we use this service to fit within our goals of getting the house organised and keeping it tidy ..we booked in our normal and regular handyman . maintenance guy ( we have been their client for 11 years so we are very very happy with their quality of work ), and he unfortunately for the very 1st time in 11 years got delayed from a previous job and couldn't get to us and now he won't be back till early next year .. meanwhile we cannot get into our laundry and access the new freezer without difficulty / injury to myself having to move and turn it to open it each time and an OH & S to our support workers who can't move and turn this freezer each time they need to access either /.. we also needed some hooks put up in the sensory room for my Autistic son to again help with the organisation of our Public Housing home .. we need someone who is clean, neat tidy and professional has their own tools and takes pride in their work and cleans up after themselves .. but couldn't ... we need someone who know what they are doing as I would hate for our guy to come back and have to go over and repair shoddy works .... please be kind we both have Multiple disabilities ( high functioning Autism and other issues ..... so not stupid / slow and very much an advocate for disability rights ) and we try to look after our workers which is why we are able to retain them for years ..
