Computer put together, printer, Google hub,hook up stereo and 2 car cameras in 2 different cars

I was using an external hard drive for my iphotos library. When I purchased a new Mac (mac mini) I plugged in my hard drive and the library 'migrated' to the new mac (although I'm not sure the migration occurred in full). However, my library has 'disappeared' from view - and what I now see is my daughter's library which is held in the cloud (unfortunately we use the same Apple ID - which I appreciate I need to change, but need help doing this). I am anxious to 'recover' my library - it has all my albums and large number of precious photos! - Due date: Flexible

Over the last few months our home wifi connection had slowed down due to what we think was increased usage.
