Apple MacBook Air has a damaged screen

I have an old iMac 27 inch with 5k Retina display 2017 model that I would like to convert into a usb c monitor that I can connect my MacBook Pro with M4 chip to. I’m looking for someone that has had experience doing this before. The iMac is getting old, but the display is still great, so I’d really like to convert it to an external monitor. I understand that there are costs involved to get the parts required, please offer quotes that include time and parts required
