Not sure if the Surface Pro 6 data is recoverable, but looking for someone to open the notebook, take the hard drive out and recover the data on it. Please when offering to take this task up, have experience with shucking Surface Pros, or prior experience with soldered on hard drives - Microsoft made it difficult to get this one taken out!

Have used an external hard drive to store photos. When removing the hard drive from the computer , you click on an icon and get a message if it’s safe to remove the device. The message is now always saying “Other programs are running” but cannot find these programs. Also have now noticed that some of the photos have disappeared off the hard drive.
