Cut marble tile for cooktop
$180
Nowra NSW, Australia
27th Sep 2024
I have 2 marble tiles that I need to cut in order to insert a cooktop Its a “u” shape cut out of two pieces to form the shape (see pic) Would likely need wet saw or similar, capable of handling a 1200 tile (it’s 600x1200) the cut will be hidden under the edges so not expecting a machined edge, aware that it chips slightly. Not sure the rates on this one, feel free to suggest/offer Thanks!

What do cooktop installation services include?
Airtasker’s cooktop installation services include different cooktops, from electric and induction cooktops to gas cooktops and even gas regulators. No need to prepare extra tools since Taskers can bring everything they need for the job. Details and specifics may vary between one Tasker to another, but here’s what’s generally included when you book an electric or gas cooktop installation service near you:
Checking the installation area
If safety is your prime concern, let a Tasker put your mind at ease. Nearby professionals can conduct a safety check to ensure that the clearances above your cooktop and the area around it adhere to local safety standards. These safety checks are crucial when renovating or building a kitchen.
Inspecting your new cooktop
Taskers make it a point to check the item to see any visible defects before installing. This simple step could save you more money in the long run. This ensures you’re not installing a dodgy appliance that may cause you problems in the future, both physically and financially.
Installation your cooktop
At Airtasker, we connect you to professionals with the right expertise to ensure the job is done right. When installing an induction cooktop, your Tasker will attach your appliance to any existing connections and ensure that these meet the required standards. If you’re the type that prefers cooking with gas instead, be sure to hire a Tasker who knows their way around gas appliances. They’ll show you how to install a gas regulator in cooktops, so you won’t need to worry about safety while trying to do the job yourself.
Testing your new kitchen appliance
We’re pretty sure you’ll be thrilled once the job’s done. You may even want to start cooking a few dishes to get a feel of your new cooktop. But before you put on your chef’s hat, allow your technician to do some tests to make sure it’s working and fully operational.
Once they confirm this, depending on your location, you’ll be given a certificate as proof that it’s been installed by a licensed professional and that it meets all the required safety standards. Make sure to keep it because you may need it to claim your manufacturer’s warranty.
