Looking to assign someone to help finish my deck (9x3m) It has been treated with a water based stain. The deck feels very course/rough at the moment and the finish looks horrible and patchy. There was a step missing which affected the final result. It was meant to be washed and dried as promised so all the dust is washed off the surface not just vacuumed. Washing opens up the pores of the timber allowing for the stain to absorb better. A timber conditioner also helps the stain to have a better finish. I'm happy to try it given it's current condition. I normally use a water based stain. It needs 3 light coats with the stain applicator. Then sealed. Stain will be supplied, I've already purchased 10l. Please quote labour cost and any materials.
