I'm wondering if anyone out there is knowledgeable with old jayco caravan electrics/wiring? I i am not having luck connecting it to power (i have the right power chord and adapot but don't have any idea if wiring is still all connected properly). Initially I'm looking to diagnose/troubleshoot the problem. Thanks

Looking for a qualified electrician, to come and check an old house in Fawkner. It is currently OFF GRID but we 2lwould probably connect it soon. The scope is to check the switch board and all 5 rooms, and outside and let us know for any issues/hazards. While there, we would like to get a quote for extra power points in 4/5 of the rooms. Could it be done while house is off grid?

We have standard old style globes(not LED downlights) that flicker for about a split second at random times throughout the day. I need someone to diagnose the fault properly. All lights flicker at the same time in all rooms so it is definitely not one specific light or a loose connection. It could be the circuit breaker(all lights appear to be on one circuit breaker) or wiring or something else and that's why I want someone to diagnose the fault as opposed to just upgrading the circuit breaker without diagnosis for example. Please provide a quote.

Needs to install 100 lights , it’s a wedding venue ! So chandeliers / wall lights / some small pendants ! So basically replacing old fittings and adding new ones ! And adding some power points ! Need someone asap to give us a quote and start the job! We have scissor lift available at site!

We just moved here and our electric estimated bills are way higher. We suspect something is dodgy with our meter.

We have a circuit breaker that trips whenever we use multiple appliances that draw a lot of power. The issue is not linked to any particular GPO or any particular equipment. We have tried various combinations in various power outlets across various rooms and kitchen; each time the MCB trips only above a specific load (>8000 watts of appliances connected across the entire house). For example, whenever we connect three oil heaters (2000 Watts each) in three separate rooms, any additional appliance (regardless of the powerpoint) whether in kitchen, lounge or any bedroom, trips the MCB. The only way to prevent it from tripping again is to use less power overall. I need someone to find the root cause and the suggest next steps such as faulty MCB, wiring etc. Thanks, Mohammad

replace defective wired smoke alarm on ground floor

We purchased our first home last year (2 storey) and the whole place has downlights. One blew recently and when we went to replace it, discovered it (and all the others) and hardwired and therefore need an electrician to replace it. We are therefore hoping to replace all the lights in one go, from wired to having a plug. There are 29 downlights in total across the 2 storeys. If you are able to source the LED downlights that's great too. We would like the have the lights in the living room and two bedrooms (10 total) to be app/google assistant activated and dimmable. Our current lights are VERY bright white, and some rooms need to have a warmer/softer light. I have listed at $5 as I'm simply looking for best offers. Cheers!
