I have a full switchboard, and wanting to add some new circuits (e.g. electric hot water, solar battery, etc). To free up some circuits in the main switchboard, i'd like to consolidate some of the circuits on the other side of the house into a new sub board in the laundry above the toilet (if allowed). The plastering is not finished in the laundry so easy to take of the plasterboard to rough in the new cables. The catch scratching play area seen in the picture will be permanently removed. Namely I want to consolidate the airconditioner circuit (16A max), and the laundry circuit (washer+dryer) which is currently fine on a 20A Thinking a new 6mm2? run (~15m) on a 32A MCB to the new subboard should suffice, and then it should just be a <2m run to the only laundry double GPO, and aircon isolation switch..... I'd like some extra breaker slots too that I can also add solar to my carport and/or a battery system. Also means the RCDs should be in subboard circuits and not from the main? Should be able to easily pull through the new 6mm2 cable when pulling out the old aircon/laundry circuit... Plenty of room in the pitched roof to move about and run the new cable all the way to the laundry. Happy also to recieve quotes to add in a heat pump electric hot water system under the Solar homes program on one of the replaced circuits (~5m run using one of the freed AC/LDRY slots).
