I have a 2016 Ford Ranger currently located at a Ford Dealership. The car was delivered to them with a blown turbo, in a fully assembled state. Ford disassembled the car at their own discretion for a warranty investigation. However then refused to reassemble the car for two years. Ford were legally pursued to re-assemble the car, which they have now down. But their conduct has been so poor that I have zero trust in them. The car currently won’t run (engine needs to be rebuilt). And will likely need a battery connected to read the OBD. I need a qualified mechanic to look over the car mechanically and electrically to ensure it is in a complete state. The car was presented to Ford with no OBD errors (even after turbo blew). So OBD could provide some validation of the state of the controls modules and electrics.
