Hi Airtaskers We are looking to put up a timber / wire balustrade / fence for a backyard deck. Deck material: Tiled deck over concrete slab. Deck size: 5.9m x 3.3m (approx) The fencing is to comprise of about 9 timber posts that are 90mm x 90mm. The timber posts are to be anchored into the concrete by a bracket which has a single 10mm x 100mm concrete screw. The wires for the fence are spaced at about 8mm up the post, with the post height being about 960mm. You will need to supply all tools for the installation of the posts (eg: drills, bits, hydraulic swager, wire cutter, etc). I will supply materials. Photos posted for context. We have just purchased a house in Collaroy Plateau which is not puppy proof for our German Shepherd. The perimeter fences are dog proof but there are no gates on either side of the house. We need someone who can build two gates that are dog proof and that fit in with the timber work on the house such as the balustrade and timber slat cladding on the ground floor. We would like you to measure up the gates and agree on a design with us on the Saturday 25/5 then come back the next week to make and swing them. There may be a fixed panel required to fill the opening aswell. I won't have any photos until Saturday when we move in. The gate goes across the top of the steps with a fixed panel across the top of the drop and we want it to blend in with the slats as shown in the other pic. About 1400 to 1600mm high should do but will be guided by you. The other side of the house is same type of gate and similar size.

We need someone who can connect a fence to a wall and drill in posts to tile/concrete. Then connect balustrades and gate. They are a standard set found in bunnings and it is only 5m in a straight line. In total it is: 4 x posts to drill in 4 x balustrades 1 x gate Tools will need to be supplied. Hello, I need to install a timber balustrade roughly 3.5m across. I’d like a gate at one end measuring about 800mm. My decking is merbau so I’d like it to match. (With the timber running horizontally). I also have an area above the garage that I’d like to install something similar as a privacy screen. 3.5m across and roughly 1m high. Job is in Glebe. Please quote including materials. I’m happy for the area above the fence to be made with any wood as long as I can stain it similar to the fence palings. We need a qualified carpenter or experienced timber worker to do 2 jobs....preferably both in the one day, but flexible with this. JOB 1 - Install 32 more rows of wire balustrade on our deck (8 of these are approx. 4m in length; 16 are approx. 2m in length and 8 are approx. 1.2m in length). For the 4m long rows, there's a 9mm timber post to drill through to get the wire fed through. All Merbau. Our deck builder had no accountability for building codes! We need this fixed for certification purposes. See attached photos - basically need to insert a row in between each row to reduce the gap to around 600mm instead of 1200mm. It's quality Merbau timber so we need someone who knows what they're doing with a drill and screws. I have all the stainless steel clips kits and 3.2mm (7x7) galvanised wire, so it's just the labour and your tools that we need, so you need to bring a swage tool that's appropriate for these measurements. JOB 2 - Install 2 x timber merbau or hard wood privacy screens against our existing fence (steel posts will likely be required for support). We will supply the screens - they are approx. 1800 x 900 each screen. Thank you

I’m not sure how labour-intensive this will be, so am not sure exactly what the job is worth.
