Notes: * Gate and all materials should be provided and mounted. * The work must get approval from the council inspector. Here is the advice by the local council for compliance: * Pool gate must be made child-safe by means of a lock, latch, bolt, chain or other child-resistant device, located at least 1.5m above floor level. * The access gate/s shall be fitted with an automatic closing device that will shut the gate and operate the latching mechanism from any position, even with the striker resting on the latching mechanism. * The access gate/s shall be mounted so that they swing only in a direction away from the pool area.
