I used to enjoy going to my local gym in the middle of the night because I had the place to myself and could just chill. Then a series of unfortunately events occurred that resulted in PTSD. The consequence of this is that anytime I get time to 'think' results in thinking about the events over and over again that lead me to where I am now. A (imperfect) great way to stop my brain from such repetitious thoughts is to flood it with alcohol - not exactly conducive to exercise. So, you see the problem, a gym to one's self, alone with one's thoughts, my brain instinctively goes to the same repetitive track that plays in my head. As odd of a task as it may sound, my thinking is, that a chaperone who will a) pick me up b) just hand out as I do my thing c) distract me when needed d) drive me back home. This is an experiment for me. To be clear, I'm not after a personal trainer. It's purely about mental distraction if needed.
