As such, it must be taken to a proper disposal facility not only to comply with local legislation but to help ease the impact on the environment as well.
Fridge freezer disposal and recycling
Once the chemicals have been removed, your old unit can now be disposed of safely. If brought to a proper recycling plant, then your drained fridge casing will be dismantled to its base parts for recycling.
