Fridge pick-up and removal

Your Tasker arrives at your home to pick up your refrigerator. Whether you're looking to retire an old refrigerator or need to get a broken fridge removal, your Tasker can figure out the best way to remove it from your kitchen without damaging your property. This way, you won't even have to worry about doing the heavy lifting yourself!

Refrigerant removal and disposal

With the fridge removal done, your broken unit will now be brought to an old fridge disposal area. While it may be tempting to stow away the refrigerator at a dump, these appliances can be a bit more tricky. After all, these contain chemicals that can be dangerous if not disposed of correctly. As such, it must be taken to a proper disposal facility not only to comply with local legislation but to help ease the impact on the environment as well.

Fridge freezer disposal and recycling

Once the chemicals have been removed, your old unit can now be disposed of safely. If brought to a proper recycling plant, then your drained fridge casing will be dismantled to its base parts for recycling. Many parts of a fridge or freezer can be recycled into new products, including metals, plastics, and glass. 

On the other hand, if your old unit was still in a repairable condition before the removal process, you have other options. You can have your Tasker bring your old fridge to a trusted charitable organization for it to be donated and repurposed. You can also have your old refrigerator repaired, with your Tasker aiding you in the reselling of your old appliance.

We have just bought a new fridge but the delivery guys would not move it upstairs. We have a fridge to be moved from upstairs in a 3 story apartment with 2 flights of stairs. Then the new fridge to be taken upstairs. There are 3 corners to get around and from memory when the removalists took the fridge up, they did it with the fridge upright to get around the corners. Would need 2 strong guys with experience in removals to get this done. Need it done today if possible. The old fridge is a double door Samsung fridge/freezer and works perfectly, the fridge door just needs adjusting and it’s 12 years old. But still a great fridge. (The photo shows it with the handles off, which just clip back on. Again, the house is 3 stories with 2 flights of stairs! Must be moved without damaging the walls as it’s a rental. I do have a removalists blanket should you require it but you will need to bring tape, and possibly straps to carry the fridge. $150 and keep the old fridge.
