My Husky bar fridge motor stops until I turn the dial (down/up) to kick it into gear again. I suspect the thermostat isn't working properly as when the motor is running it does keep the fridge cold. It isn't an expensive fridge, but the shell of it is ideal so thinking a repair might be worth the trouble.

Fridge is making a " humming sound" different to normal. When l open Fridge - TOP or Freezer - BOTTOM the noise stops for a few minutes and then starts again. I turned the refrigeration off for three days and whilst it worked for two or three days, the fridge section started heating up again. The freezer works as expected ( -10 degrees C) It is a Fisher and Paykel. MODEL : E522B PRODUCT No.21509-B I have had the fridge attended to three times in past 9 months where technician used hot water to clear all ice in the back. It worked for three months and then happens again. Now the RED light keeps appearing in the fridge. I think the fridge needs a new compressor or something that stops the freezing up on a quarterly basis. All seals have been replaced over past two years. Keep resetting and returns back to red. PLEASE NOTE: I have amended this task as it was previously worded incorrectly. I have had this freezing issue a number of times . The repairman comes in for 20 mins - removes the ice - and leaves . This is a $120 standard fix for a 15 to 20 minute task - Due date: Before Wednesday, 7 February 2024
