Patio bolt added to garage door

I have a B&D garage door that won't open up on a single click of the remote. I have to hold it down for long period of time to open. I think it needs to be reset or programmed again. I have changed the batteries in all remotes and still doesn't work. Need it repaired asap.

The first version of the lock mechanism itself works too loose and needs to be adjusted.The second version possibly the problem arose because the bolt had nothing to grab onto to hold the door closed. In this case, it would only be necessary to deepen the hole so that the bolt would have something to catch on.
