I am seeking a landscape and garden/courtyard design consult. I’ve cleared the exiting overgrown vines/trees, and I’ve now been left with a blank canvas which I’d like to give some life too! I am ideally seeking design options, and a final set of plans and measurements inc. specs, materials etc suitable for a landscaper. I am leaning towards establishing defined garden bed spaces, replacing the existing paved area with a more modern bluestone/tile, and guidance with any colour and plant selection. But ultimately happy to be guided by your experience.

Garden design- what plants to buy and where to plant them, want advice

I'm looking for a professional who can help me with: - garden planning based on the space, sunlight and style; - plant the plants; - teach me to do further maintenance; - position the sprinklers cord according to the newly planted plants (unfinished work); - give advice or even build an arch to support wisteria; - further advice and maintenance of the garden. The garden is tiny, mainly deck and some planting space around it. Has very little sunshine, mainly shade, so plants that strive in shade need to be considered. The soil has been renewed recently, so that part is done. An degree or a certificate in landscaping / horticulturalism is a big plus. Portfolios are very welcome! We have a 160m sq front yard which has the basic landscape done just need the plant setup as per North orientation. We also have a 160m sq backyard which is a blank slate currently and needs a landscape design and plant selection help.

We are doing a knockdown rebuild that has a reasonable slope from front to back (uphill towards back). Need a landscape(hardscaping and softscaping)/retaining wall plan that is sensible, low maintenance and will add value to the home. Someone who is happy to conduct an initial site visit to inspect the land, slope, things that you will need to work around. And then produce a set of to-scale 2D and 3D drawings that landscapers can use to quote. Allow for a revision or two.
