I'm looking for an experienced gardener to assist with various tasks in my garden, including laying pavers with concreted edges, planting shrubs and trees, and general weeding. This job requires someone with prior experience in paving and a good handle on general gardening tasks. Given the physical nature of the tasks someone physically capable of handling these diverse tasks safely is essential. Tasks Include: Laying pavers and ensuring the edges are concreted in Digging out grass and soil for new plantings Planting a variety of shrubs and trees General weeding and garden maintenance Using a mechanical auger for digging deeper holes Laying weedmat & mulching Garden edging Details: Rate: $40 per hour Estimated Duration: Minimum of 6 hours, with the likelihood of extending hours as needed. Work will be divided into 3-hour slots. Schedule: Work needs to be done on Fridays or Mondays, between 9 AM and 2 PM. Tools & Materials: I will provide concrete, pavers, plants, weed mat, and mulch. It would be beneficial if you have your own preferred basic tools (e.g., shovels). Additionally, access to a concrete mixer or a ute to transport it along with concrete bags would be highly desirable. Experience Required: Previous paving experience is essential. Experience or confidence in using a mechanical auger would be a significant advantage.
